Ryde Residential Project
Vaucluse Residential Project
Green Roof
The Green Roof project is located on the rooftop of strata unit apartments located in Rushcutters Bay NSW. While there are no balconies in the relatively small strata unit apartments, a singular attraction is the swimming pool and roof garden that provides a mix of private and communal outdoor space – a highly valued commodity for inner-city residents.
This project features a raised swimming pool with stepped decking constructed with low maintenance and fire retardant Biowood composite decking, facades, planter boxes, an outdoor shower and open barbecue, shade plantings of scented frangipanis, sedum green roof technology and low-energy LED illumination for the evening.
Barkly Square
Developer: ADCO
Architect: Villa & Villa Architect
Products: Biowood reconstituted composite wood facades and soffits (BWPO15025 & S4S15050 – Spotted Gum)
Biowood facades and soffits have been specified for the Barkly Square project in Melbourne which was completed in March 2013.
Biowood facades and soffits have been chosen as it is an alternative aesthetic natural wood look, without the hassles of splitting, cracking, warping, cupping and virtually low maintenance commented by Mr Eduardo Villa from Villa and Villa Architect based in Sydney Australia.
Biowood Australia completes another achievement by enabling to meet cost savings and rejuvenating the architectural wood facade & soffits look of the building.
Italian Restaurant
Products: Biowood reconstituted composite wood wall paneling and ceiling (BWIF20012 – Spotted Gum)
The objective is to have an architectural wood look restaurant and low maintenance.
Biowood reconstituted composite wood paneling and ceiling, due to its content of wood fiber, contains all the attributes of timber such as its appearance, hardness and warmth but does not have the inherent shortcomings of solid timber such as cracking, splitting, warping, cupping and rot. In addition, when subject to fire, Biowood has fire retardant properties.
Biowood when installed for internal wall paneling and ceiling application does not need to be coated but still retaining the architectural wood look which is a cost saving to the end consumer.

- Weathered grey wood look and feel
- Does not leach, split, warp or cup
- Water resistant
- Termite resistant
- Fire resistant (Non-combustible and self-extinguishing)
- Low maintenance
