About DesignEX

Since launching in 1988, designEX has been Australia’s premier interiors,
design ideas and architecture event. designEX is an industry platform from
which to share inspiration and innovation – a platform where design is
celebrated, design leaders are honoured and new cutting-edge ideas are
unveiled. designEX is organized by Diversified Communications Australia,
one of Australia’s largest and fastest growing exhibition organisers.

designEX announced in late 2013, that internationally acclaimed trend
forecaster Li Edelkoort will be keynote speaker and present her 2016 trend
forecast on the first day of the exhibition.

Margriet Vollenberg and Margo Konings of Dutch practice Organisation In
Design have joined Sarah K in curating The Other Hemisphere 2014
exhibition and will also join the speaker series to discuss their Australian and
New Zealand design exhibition being presenting at Ventura Lambrate in
Milan.

Finally, now in its third year, NEST returns to Sydney and is one of the
most talked about features on the design floor. Curated by Anne-Maree
Sargeant, one of Australia’s leading design consultants, NEST will showcase
unseen furniture, lighting and objects by some of Australia’s key players in
the design industry.

Exhibition Manager, Kobe Johns, has worked to carefully curate the 2014
show to provide an exciting program fusing leading information and
inspiration from Australia and around the world.
